Hacked Off statement on CPS’ decision to charge Rebekah Brooks and others

“The Hacked Off campaign believes the CPS decision to charge Rebekah Brooks and others means a welcome opportunity to get to the bottom of accusations that have so far been the subject of intense speculation by the media.
“We note Ms Brooks’ expression of concern about ‘posturing by the CPS’. Hacked Off wishes there had been similar concern for due process during past media coverage of Christopher Jefferies, Robert Murat and others.
“Now that charges are being brought, this is a matter for the criminal courts.”

That’s the best comment, by a mile, that I’ve heard about this.
If you were a proper journalist then you’d know that it’s “seven years of experience” not “7 years”. Did that work-ex at the Indie teach you nothing?
Porper hack – agree completely that the best way to atack someone’s argument is ad hominem, or pedantry…
If Ms Brookes thinks that silly cahrges have simply been dreamt up by her enemies, hoe does she square that with the almost insistent belief of those who were innocent were actually guilty. Most notorioiusly the Sun and he NotW always that Mr Abdelbaset Magrahi (sic) was guilty, when all the evidence against him was clearly manufactured and fraudulent, mainly by the CIA, but with the active assistence of MI5 and RARDE. The Sun will soon have to be closed, and if the Murdochs are not charged it would be like saying Mr Hitler and Mr Goering had only been misled by the wicked Mr Goebbels and Herr Himmler.
The Private Eye spoof of the Salem Witch trials is incredibly good and I hope someone has the courage to write it up at length applied to the Murdoch/News Corporation atrocities.
